The most baptised angler of the match!

Monks lake no2 was the venue on a fair August morning, and after an overnight rain it looked changeable and the wind was getting up. The platforms that are fished from were to term a phrase treacherous with slime and water. Joe found the water irresistible sliding on the platform and doing a swan dive into five feet of water to a chorus of cheers from around the lake. He dragged himself up out of the water looking slightly "peeved" and threw his mobile phone up onto the bank. Seconds later after frantically searching his pockets he dived back in to find his car keys. Joe's heels were kicking at the surface for 30 seconds or more before he emerged triumphantly holding his keys aloft. It took him some time to dry off and it can't have been pleasant being wet in that cool wind (some of us had coats on). Joe went on to frame from the peg he had just swam in proving the fish are not easily scared off. With 30mins to go Terry took his eye off the ball (or should I say the fishing) for two minutes and a Carp took his pole out to the middle of the lake bobbing up and down like a buoy. After numerous attempts with a feeder rod to hook the pole Joe again took the plunge and again swam the lake to rescue Terry's pole equipped with an attached Common Carp. This last dip earned Joe the title of most baptised angler in any one match.
