So far we are still in “lockdown” and no end yet until the rate of infections and deaths are lower but there is hope in sight. Most of us “old boys” have been vaccinated with our first dose which will take effect after 2weeks, which we’ll be in lockdown for. As the snow falls outside I am finding it increasingly difficult to remain motivated with all my hooks tied and rigs redone for the new season, all that’s missing is the fishing. Fishing has been deemed a form of exercise so long as you go by yourself and stay local which isn’t an option for some and with these freezing temperatures I would be inclined to stay indoors anyway. Hopefully I will have better news on the March update as the cases are definitely coming down. On a sad note, I know there’s not much to be happy about at the moment but I have to report that Jim the owner of Bowsaw and Billhook died this week. Jim was not a well man for a number of years and our sympathy goes to Carl his widow and his son. Although somewhat changeable for me he will always be remembered for his chat, so much so that I’m sure he was distracting me from catching too many fish Ha Ha. R.I.P Jim.
