Specimen Roach?

A recent match at Monks no 1 threw up a remarkable fish for Roger Thorpe while fishing for silvers. The fish in question looked, had the shape of mouth and body of a Roach but the most astounding thing was it weighed 04-00-00. It was difficult to see, what a Roach normally has, and that’s Lateral lines and could possibly be some sort of a Hybrid but even then an incredible catch. Roger fishing single red maggot tempted the fish on the drop on light tackle, he also had a number of other large Roach some over the 1lb mark. If it is accepted as a Roach it will be the biggest most anglers in our club and indeed anywhere has seen, look at the picture and see what you think.
