This year’s Presentation night was a relatively low key affair compared to last year’s effort which included a visit from the then serving Lord mayor of Hounslow, who presented our trophies. This year we opted for the Isleworth Workingmen’s club main bar for this function because the size of the space was right for our needs and allowed for a level of familiarity. We employed Kevin Green our resident DJ/Disco for the entertainment and to do the M/C for the prizes. He played all the old favourites from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s Motown, Rock n Roll and stuff and really got the place heaving. Buffet was provided by Bill Smith’s wife Shan who we would like to thank for her hard work in producing such a wonderful spread, Mark Cullinane later gave her a bouquet of flowers to show our gratitude. The presentation was done and everyone in the bar was welcome to join in the evening which went on until after midnight, with all members reluctant to go home afterwards. Next day club members commented on what a great night they all had and we should do the same next year, well, we will just have to wait and see.
